Parkinson Foundation of Iran was founded in 2016 with the goal of medical and pharmaceutical research focused on finding cure with a focus on “neurorestorative therapies” for Parkinson's disease (PD). PFI intends to raise finances to invest on research and development activities, patient care services, education and elevate public awareness.
PFI aims to alleviate the burden for the patients and families with Parkinson’s disease living in Iran or abroad, through international networks of organizations, medical-scientific information, referral services and support groups.
Ourobjective is centered on discovering new treatment options by funding research, awarding fellowships and acquiring grants for outstanding students, post-doctoral fellows or research scientists.
Our strategyis to maintain a knowledge-based information resource by bringing together the latest information and news to the people interested in learning more about Parkinson’s disease.
We engage in research and educational activities toward discovering the cause(s) of Parkinson’s disease, find neurorestorativeand neuroprotective therapeutics for the people who have a 'fear of becoming disabled' and care for family members with Parkinson's disease.
